Best Bollywood of the Decade!!

Yeah, everybody knows what bollywood means, be hot and related to a famous someone, and you'll get a movie to do, even if you cant act. But the scenario isn't all that sad, the last decade saw some of best movies bollywood ever churned out, movies with stories, average looking people, and heart, lots and lots of heart. I am no professional critic here, but why are movies made? To seek the affection of the cinemas connoisseurs ? Or to appeal to the public? Well, trying to hard to appeal to the general movies is what gave the world things so horrendous as RGV ki aag, Jaani Dushman, KRRisshh!!!

The BEST movies - of bollywood - 2000-2010

1 : DEV-D (2009)

2 : Oye lucky lucky oye (2008)

3 : A wednesday (2008)

4 : Black Friday (2004)

5 : Lagaan (2001)

3-Idiots (AWESOME) - Why is chetan bhagat crying?

I finally saw 3-Idiots today and OH MY GOD!
Rare are the occasions when the movie adaptation of a popular book does justice to it, this is not of those times. Rajkumar Hirani has managed to do what even Hollywood directors fail to do, make the book seem like shit in front of the movie. Not only was it a great movie, it was one of the greatest experiences in a cinemas. I'm pretty sure that 'balatkari' speech will go down in history as one of the funniest moments ever in Indian cinema.
Back to the point, since i have every right to voice my opinion i will say Chetan Bhagat is being an ass, ok the movie is a little inspired by the book and the makers have acknowledged it and have paid for the rights and stuff, so it is pretty apparent Chetan Bhagat is (apparently) trying to cash in one the movie's success, which it totally deserves by the way, i hate it when stupid crappy movies like "Ajab Prem Ki and crap" do good business, makes me feel sad about the level of stupidity that is prevalent in this country of mine.
And i don't know how they did it, but Aamir Khan and co. DID manage to pass themselves off as college kids, and they did really really well.

Slumdog Millionaire?? or the Dark Knight?

2008 saw two of the best movies ever in hollywood (in my opinion), slumdog millionaire and the dark knight. After TDK, i was left spellbound, the shear scale of the movie was enough to make anybody fall in love with it. One was bound to be horrified after the menacingly real laughs of the Late Heath Ledger.
Although slumdog millionaire was not in the same lines as TDK, but somehow it did manage to enthrall the viewer and once again proved the mettle of danny boyle. The real surprise was however, the guy from skins who played Jamal malik, the protagonist.

I know both movie are world's apart, but which movie do you think should win the oscar for best picture (if either of them is not nominated i'm boycotting the oscars, and will ask others to do so as well).
Post you comments on my youtube video.
